Diglipur, Nov 15: Children’s Day was celebrated befittingly at Diglipur yesterday morning. Children’s day is celebrated every year on the birth anniversary of first prime minister of India, Pt Jawaharlal Nehru. Because of his love towards children, the 14th November is celebrated as Children’s Day.
Schools took out rallies to mark this occasion. A talent hunt program was organized among the students of Diglipur Educational Zone at Multipurpose hall today.
Asst Commissioner Diglipur Mr. Alok Kumar was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The students showcased their talent in different categories like Painting, hand writing, poem recitation, Best of waste, dance and song competition. Earlier the Deputy Education Officer, Mrs. Sangeeta Chand welcomed the guests and highlighted about the programme .
