
Port Blair, Nov 14: “Children’s Day” (The birth day of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru) has been celebrated in the Govt. Primary school, English Medium, Haddo in a befitting manner. During the programme photo of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was garlanded by Smti. Anita Banerjee, Head Mistress of the school and by Mr. P. Pradeep, Senior Most Teacher.
Floral tributes were given by the teachers and students of the school to their “Chachaji”. H.M Smti. Anita Banerjee and Mr. P. Pradeep spoke about the life of “Chacha Nehru”.
In this occasion, the students of primary classes of the school were felicitated with “Subarna Banerjee Memorial awards” for ranking in the Annual Examination of the year 2017-18.
Mr. Pronob Banerjee (Retd. H.M of G.D.M.S) being one of the founder members of “Subarna Banerjee Memorial Trust” presented the prizes for the students on behalf of the trust.
Smti. Anita Banerjee( H.M), Mr. P. Pradeep, Mr. D. Laxman Rao (Social Worker) and an Ex. Student of Subarna Banerjee, Smti. D. Hemlata Ex. Councilor of Haddo and Mr. Raj Kr. Saw (Retd. O.S Forest Dept.) gave away the awards to the students.
Smti. Anita Banerjee also distributed educational kits and games articles of her own among the students, Mr. P.Pradeep, teacher incharge distributed sweets among the students.
