Port Blair, Nov 04: In the history of JNRM College, First General Election was held in the college on Saturday. Several JNRM staffs were given duty to ensure conduct of free and fair Elections for Students’ Council for the academic year 2018-19. The entire process was held under the overall supervision of Mr. Francis Xavier and the election team was successfully led by Dr N. Rajavel.
Six polling stations where set up for the elections.
Two students contested in the election, one was from commerce Mr. Rajsekhar R and the other student was from Geography Department, Miss Sushma Das.
The voting started on 03rd November 2018 from morning 9:00 AM and continued till 3:00 PM. The result was announced at the evening. Mr. Rajsekhar R, won by elected and declared as a President students’ council.
