Diglipur, Oct 29: Candidates, who have submitted applications for the Forester Post in Forest Department, A & N Islands are now reportedly getting suspicious calls demanding bribe for getting job in Forest Department from back doors.
The Forest Department had earlier invited offline applications for the posts of Forester in the year 2015, but exams were not conducted, now again, online recruitment started for the same posts.
A candidate from Diglipur told Andaman Sheekha that he is getting continuous calls from mobile number 9297597745, from an unknown person, who is introducing himself as an employee of Forest Department. According to the candidate, the unknown person is asking him to deposit Rs. 1,50,000/- urgently in SBI Account No. 34030358275, IFSC SBIN 0000727 of Mr. Anirban Ghosh. The caller also offered discount of Rs. 10,000 if the candidate deposits money today. When Andaman Sheekha tried to call on this number, it was found that the number is kept switched off.
This is not the first time when such incident happened in Andaman. Earlier during PBMC recruitment also many candidates got such calls from imposters.
The question arises here is how the crucial data of candidates, which were submitted to departments, are leaked to unauthorized people. The Police and administration should investigate into this matter and alert all candidates against such fraud calls.
Who knows by this time how many candidates might have already fallen victim of such calls.
i have also received call from unknown Number (07808262440) asked the same quarries and demanded for money.
