Port Blair, Oct 28: To safeguard the sanctity and rituals of Sabarimala, a programme was conducted on 27th October 2018 by Akhila Bharata Ayyappa Seva Sangam in association with all Hindu organisations, Temple Committees.
In the morning of 27th October 2018, a Ganapathi Homam was conducted and later on in the evening a Nama Japam Yatra was carried out from Tiranga Park via Clock Tower, Bengali Club, Goalghar, Delanipur, Phoenix bay and returned to Tiranga Park. After returning back to Tiranga park, Ayyappa Pooja was carried out and prasad was distributed. During the inaugural of Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa Nama Japam Yatra, the Working President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Mr. Chatterjee and Swami Shraddhanand Maharaj addressed the gathering and the yatra began.
On completion of the Yatra, the General Secretary of Akhila Bharata Ayyappa Seva Sangam expressed gratitude to all Hindu Organisations, Temple Committees, A & N Police department and all devotees for extending their cooperation for making the program a success.
On 3rd November 2018 Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa Nama Japam Yatra will be conducted at Rangat, Middle Andaman.
