Baratang, Oct 28: The Zilla Parishad Member of Baratang, Mr. Alagar Swami on Friday last met the Secretary PWD & RD and requested construction of Sea Wall at Khadi Basti Village of Baratang and immediate road construction works at Khatta Khadi, Uday Garh and other remote villages of the region.
During the meeting, Mr. Alagar Swami said that recently the Forest Department has according environmental clearance for Khadi Basti Village sea wall but the tender work has already been cancelled. He requested the Secretary for issuing re-tender for the said work, which will benefit hundreds of families of Khadi Basti Village of Baratang.
He pointed out that the road construction works in various remote villages like Khatta Khadi, Uday Garh etc have either not been completed or not started, which is causing huge problems for remote villagers. He requested the Secretary to start the road construction works. He also requested the Secretary to pay a visit to the village to witness the ground level works to which the secretary reportedly assured to visit Baratang soon.
