Port Blair, Oct 28: A student of Tushanabad School, Mohit Sarkar, resident of Tirur, suffered serious eye injuries while playing in school on Friday last.
While the child claims that someone hit him with a piece of Asbestos Roof Sheet, a few others are claiming that the injury happened when he threw the piece of Asbestos Roof Sheet on a wall, which bounced back towards his one eye.
The boy was immediately taken to G B Pant hospital where he was given treatment. Presently the boy has been referred to Chennai for specialized treatment.
