Port Blair, Oct 24: State Transport Service for the first time today started online computerized ticketing system in A & N Islands. Secretary Transport Mr.UditPrakash Ray inaugurated this online service at STS Terminus today morning.
Mr.UditPrakash Ray addressing the gathering said that this Online ticketing service will ease the STS ticketing system in Andaman Islands which is fruitful for the residents of Andaman particularly for the residents of the N & M Andaman and the passengers can buy the computerized tickets for anywhere from Nov 5. This will also ease the return ticket procedure for the passengers. This will ease the STS ticketing system in Andaman Islands.
Speaking on this occasion Director Transport Mr.NavalendraSinha said that for the implementation of good governance in these Islands the STS department is started this computerized online service which will be presently available at STS main bus stand Port Blair and in a phased manner this service will expanded to other islands also. In this Online service one can buy the tickets for anywhere from anywhere. NIC is providing the technical assistance for this service.
