
Port Blair, Oct 24: A grand ceremony is organised at Lamba Line showroom of Rio Nissan to unveiled the Datsun GO hatchback and GO Plus MPV. Datsun India launched the new and updated GO and GO Plus in these islands for the price of Rs 3.29 and Rs 3.83 respectively. The Deputy Director (Admn/Vig) of the Transport Department, M B Benoy unveiled the Datsun GO hatchback and GO Plus MPV, which received a facelift with cosmetic updates and an upgraded feature list. The CEO of Rio Nissan, Mr InderjeetKhurana and Managing Director, Rio-Nissan, Mr SagarKhuranawere present on the occasion. In his brief address, Mr B Binoy congratulated the entire team of Rio-Nissan and urged the gathering to abide by safety rules while on roads. He also elaborated about the efforts of the Transport Department towards streamlining traffic and urged people to share their ideas with the department in this regard. Mr SagarKhurana said that the new Datsun Go and Go Plus would offer stiff competition to models like the new Hyundai Santro,MarutiWagonr, MarutiCelerio. Datsun has also gotten Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as brand ambassador and the company hopes to add more sales with the launch of these new cars, he said. Datsun has also added several interior updates to the GO and GO+. These include a new instrument cluster with analog tachometer and a new 7″ touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The infotainment system also offers Google Map Navigation, and voice recognition with Bluetooth connectivity. This makes Datsun Go the most affordable car in India to feature a touchscreen infotainment system which is equipped with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, he added. Both cars are available in one single powertrain. The mid-life update comes with added features and a much needed cosmetic changes. The GO hatchback and its mini-estate version now arrive with subtle changes which come in the form of the redesigned bumper which now also include vertical LED daytime running strips integrated into the blackedout insert. The grille has been slightly tweaked and the overall appearance looks a lot more appealing than before. The rear bumper also gets subtle changes to keep things fresh. Moreover, both the cars now get the option of 14-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels for the first time. The update also debuts two new body colours – Amber Orange and Sunstone Brown – respectively. The feature list sees new additions in terms of power windows, electrically adjustable mirrors, rear parking sensors, dual front airbags, and rear window wipers.
