Port Blair, Oct 16: The coveted “Southern Army Command Territorial Army Banner” for the year 2017-18 has been awarded to 154 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) BIHAR of Andaman and Nicobar Command in a ceremony at Pune on 13th October 2018. Commanding Officer 154 TA, Colonel Upjit Singh Randhawa, Captain Rupak Guha Neogi and Subedar Major M N Mohanta received the banner on the occasion.
The “ISLAND TERRIERS” located at Port Blair was adjudged the best Territorial Army Battalion amongst all Territorial Army units in Southern Army Command. The prestigious award encompasses all the aspects involving operations, training, administration and documentation as the competitive parameters.
