Diglipur, Oct 8: Andaman & Nicobar Administration has reportedly started the process of disqualification of Mr. Shyamal Bhowmik, Pradhan, Ramkrishna Gram Panchayat Diglipur, who is also going to face some legal action now.
Andaman Sheekha carried an article on Aug 22, 2018 that Asst Commissioner Diglipur has found in his report that Pradhan R K Gram is guilty of creating false voters. The Asst Commissioner Diglipur on July 17th July 2017 submitted his Inquiry report to Deputy Commissioner wherein he found the Pradhan guilty of issuing false resident certificates, beyond the power vested on him under the law, which is illegal and amounts to influencing the election process.
The complainants alleged that the Pradhan issued false certificates to enroll the applicants in voter list to vote in his favour or his candidates thus the Pradhan as well as the some officials of that tenure allegedly adopted illegal methods to create false voters in Panchayat Election 2015.
On 13th Sep Secretary Election Commission for UTs (Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman Diu) Mr. S P Meena issued a letter to Dy. Commissioner/ District Election Officer, N & M Andaman and informed him that the Commissioner considering the enquiry report submitted by Asst Commissioner Diglipur the legal action may be initiated against Mr. Shyamal Bhowmick R/o R K Gram as per rules.
Considering this the Deputy Commissioner N & M Andaman ahs now issued a letter to SP, N & M Andaman being F No 8-45/STAT/ DC(N&M Andaman /2018/VOL.II/2978 wherein the Deputy Commissioner asked the SP to initiate legal action against Mr. Shyamal Bhowmick, S/o Late SC Bhowmick, R/o R K Gram, Diglipur as per rules.
