Port Blair, Sept 25 (PIB) INS Kulish, a Kora class Missile Corvette commanded by Commander Deepak Bali and INS Battimalv, a Bangaram class Fast Attack Craft commanded by Lieutenant Commander M C Chandeep along with one Dornier Maritime Patrol Aircraft of the Andaman and Nicobar Command arrived at Yangon, Myanmar for the opening ceremony of the seventh edition of the India-Myanmar Coordinated Patrol (IMCOR) on 24 September 2018. The Coordinated Patrol will be conducted from, 26 to 29 September 2018 off Coco Island, Myanmar.
The visit of the Indian Naval Ships seeks to highlight India’s peaceful presence and solidarity with friendly countries towards ensuring good order in the maritime domain, consolidate interoperability and strengthen existing bonds of friendship between India and Myanmar. During the stay in harbour, sporting fixtures, ship open to visitors and professional interactions between naval personnel of both the nations have been planned.
The delegation is led by Commodore Ashutosh Ridhorkar, Naval Component Commander, Andaman and Nicobar Command who is embarked onboard INS Kulish.
