Port Blair, Sept 19: As part of Hindi Fortnight activities, the competition on Official Hindi Terminologies, Vocabulary, Hindi Numerical, Sulekh, have been conducted at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Centre, Port Blair. On concluding day, a function was organized with special lecture of Dr. N. Lakshmi, Faculty Member of Department of Hindi, ANCOL, Port Blair on Rajbhasha. As part of the celebration, she has also evaluated the competition papers and awarded the ranking among the IGNOU staff. Followed by the special lecture the Prizes and Participation Certificates have been distributed by Dr. N. Lakshmi. The article on Rajbhasha Ka Mahatva, written by Mr. Pradip Kumar Kushwaha, IGNOU BA (1st year) student was also circulated to the participants of the function. Dr.S. Ganesan, Regional Director of RC, Port Blair shared his work experience in Hindi regions- Shimla, Bhopal, Jabalpur, New Delhi etc.
At the end, Smt. U.Swaraja Laxmi Bai, Assistant of Regional Centre, Port Blair gave the vote of thanks to Chief Guest and participants. A communication from Regional Director, IGNOU, Regional Centre, Port Blair said.
