Port Blair, July 18: The members of Andaman Nicobar Auto Union today expressed gratitude towards the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration, Director of Transport, Secretary STA for fulfilling some demands of the auto association.
The demands were hike of Auto Fare; Subsidy @ 1000/- in electronic meter; Provide the permit only under the scheme of PMEGP; providing another parking place in municipal area etc.
The Association has also expressed gratitude towards Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, INTUC, for his cooperation
“The Chief Secretary, A & N Administration has assured us that the matter regarding enhancement of auto fare in A & N Islands will be placed in the next STA meeting by the end of this month or during the first week of next month for consideration,” the General Secretary of AN Auto Union said here today.
