Port Blair, Sept 06: The Nutrition Week is observed during 1 -7 September, 2018. As part of it, the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Regional Centre Port Blair invited the students of Certificate Food and Nutrition (CFN), Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education (DNHE), Master of Science in Dietetics and Food Service Management (MSC-DFSM) and other nutrition education programmes of IGNOU on Teachers Day.
Dr. K. Venkatesan, HOD of Home Science, JNRM, Port Blair has delivered a special lecture on ‘Nutrition and Balanced Diet’. The IGNOU staff members (both Regional Centre & Warehouse) along with students participated the programme at second floor of Regional Centre building Port Blair. Students have enjoyed the Power Point Presentation and video with animation to know the roles of different nutrition of food items. The staff and students interacted with resource person Dr. K. Venkatesan and benefited academically.
Participation certificate was distributed to IGNOU students. Mr. Sanjiv Kumar Hira, Section Officer of RC-Port Blair conveyed the vote of thanks. A communication from Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre, Port Blair said.
