Port Blair, July 17: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, Pradesh Congress Committee leading a delegation of students from JNRM called on Chief Secretary, A&N Administration in his chambers on 17. 07.2012 and requested him to introduce Post Graduate and B.Ed courses in Bangla in the Colleges of Andaman & Nicobar Islands so that Graduate students in Bangla passing out from the J.N.R.M can pursue higher education in our Island and are not required to go to the colleges at mainland incurring heavy expenditure.
Mr. Sharma also emphasized that, opening of the above disciplines in our Islands will encourage more students to pursue higher education there by opening up better job prospects, for them.
The Chief Secretary assured Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma of taking necessary measures to introduce Post Graduate and B.Ed courses in Bangla in the colleges of Andaman & Nicobar Islands at the earliest possible.
