Port Blair, Aug 22: Recently a complaint has been registered againstthe SHO PS Neil Island SI Ilangovan, and according to the complaint, the SIreportedly tried to molest a women on 26 April 2018. The complaint also defamed public figure like Pradhan of Neil Island Gram Panchayat.
According to reports presently a departmental enquiryis being carried out by the senior police officers but efforts are being made by some people to give this news a wide publicity so that before even FIR is filed the SI faces maximum reputation damage.
Most surprising fact in this case is thatSI Ilangovan was not present at Neil Island on the day when this incident happened,as he was busy in court & other official purposes from the evening of 23 to 28/04/2018.
The complainant alleged that SI Ilangovan molested on the night of 26/04/2018 which is totally impossible in his absence.
Whereas, it has been alleged by the complainant that Pradhan and the SHO both are conspiring to trap the victim lady and her baba (a father figure), in a false case and branding her a loose character.
However, from the sources it is also revealed thatthe so called Baba of the Complainant has been booked twice in NDPS case.
It is also important to mention that on 03/07/2018 the complaining woman and her mother who had arrived from Pune had some arguments with the SHO at Neil harbour and consequent upon which she had made a complaint against the SHO for being molested on 26/04/2018.
If the SHO was indeed involved in such inhuman activity then why had she been remained silent for so long. This raised question on the genuineness of the complainant here?Question also arises that when the SI was not present on Neil Island on the day the complainant has said that she was molested, how come such incident take place.
Of late, it has also been observed that in some cases, under various circumstances, false cases of molestations are being filed against people to take revenge on other issues. Whether this is one such case, is still not clear. However, if this case later proves to be a false case then there are also criminal acts against people, who misuse Law for personal gain.
