Port Blair, Aug 17: The central committee of local born association, A &N island had called for a meeting with the representative of all political parties, Association, NGOs, Organisation, held on 3rd August, 2018 at 6-00PM in the premises of Durga Puja Mandap, Junglighat. In the meeting the Participants representatives had unanimously resolved for the formation of a Joint Action Forum (JAF) for the implementation of Inner Line Permit System in all over the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as per the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court passed during May, 2002.
This Joint Action Forum has unanimously decided to call a 24 hours Bandh on 6.9.2018 from 6:00am to 6.00am on (07.09.2018) for Implementation of Inner Line Permit System in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, in terms of Hon’ble Supreme Court’s Judgment Order in IA No. 502 in WP No. 202/1995 dated the 07.05.2002. Most of the Political Parties of these Islands, NGOs and Cultural & Social Organisations have extended their full support and participation for the causes. All the leading personalities, thinkers and social worker have also expressed their willingness to take issues forward till achievement of the goal.
