Port Blair, Aug 10: To facilitate the students of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the IGNOU Regional Centre is organizing special video classes on every Saturday. On 11th August 2018, during forenoon session 10 am – 1pm the CDs on the topic Simple Societies, Social Change In India, Status Of Women In India, Education And Stratification (English Medium) will be played. Similarly during post lunch session, 1pm – 4pm for Journey Of A Sociologist, Sociological Theory And Methodology, The Making Of A Sociologist, Social Stratification In India: An Interview With Andre Beteille ( English Medium) will also be played. The video class will be held at first floor of Kannada Sangha Building, IGNOU Regional Centre, Mohanpura. Each topic specific video CD will be of 30 minutes duration. The students of Bachelor of Arts (BDP) who opted Elective in Sociology (ESO_ are informed through SMS / e-mail from RC. If the student is not able to attend Saturday video class, he/she may also visit RC on any working day from Monday to Friday between 10.00 am – 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm to see the video lectures.
