Port Blair, Aug 07: A meeting of Mayabunder Bar Association was called on today to discuss about the on ongoing cease work in the backdrop of a letter received from Ld. District & Session Judge, Port Blair dated 06/08/2018 and also on the background of communication received from the president and Secretary of Bar Association, Port Blair informing that the issue of conferring power upon ADJ, Mayabunder has been discussed yesterday before the Ld. Judge of Calcutta, High Court, sitting in present Circuit Bench at Port Blair and it is also informed that the process has been initiated.
It is also informed that the issue regarding 125 and Mat. Suits are also under process and presently lying before the Administrative Committee of High Court and a notification will be issued shortly.
According to the resolution of Mayabunder Bar Association, initially in the meeting most of the members were reluctant to withdraw the ongoing cease work since the information conveyed to Mayabunder Bar Association regarding initiation of process of conferring power to ADJ and also regarding 125 and Mat. Suits are not convincing but after a thorough discussion it is decided that if it is withdrawn for time being to see the further development, as it has already been initiated they are ready to withdraw.
Accordingly it has been resolved unanimously by Mayabunder Bar Association members that the ongoing cease work is withdrawn w.e.f 08/08/2018 for time being.
