Port Blair, July 29: Andaman & Nicobar Pradesh Youth Congress Committee launched membership drive on 29th July, 2018 at Gandhi Bhavan, Port Blair from 10.00 a.m onwards in the presence of Mr. B.V. Srinivas, National Vice President, Indian Youth Congress, New Delhi.
Mr. Santhosh, National Secretary,(in-charge A & N Islands) Indian Youth Congress Mr. Nazir Hussain Ahamed, Election Commissioner, Indian Youth Congress and Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma , President, Pradesh Congress Committee were also present on occasion.
Youths from different parts of the town between the age of 18 – 35 years attended the function in large number. The Vice President and National Secretary of Indian Youth Congress addressed the youths and requested them to enroll themselves as member of Indian Youth Congress, the largest Democratic Youth Organization, to strengthen the hands of Mr. Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party.
Mr. B. V. Srinivas, Vice President, IYC said that the IYC is the frontal organization of Indian National Congress party with the objective of doing social work. He also advocated the youths to join the Indian youth Congress in large number and propagate the policies, ideas and programmes of Congress party amongst the youths at grass root level.
Mr. Nasir Hussain Ahmed, Election Commissioner, Indian Youth Congress described the Youth Congress election process and requested the youths to join the organization. He also appreciated Mr. John Robert for his untiring work as President, A & N islands Youth Congress Committee. Mr. Santhosh, National Secretary, IYC sated that the IYC is fully aligned to the political values of the Indian National Congress and strongly believes in the core idea of India, in which all Indian are equal and deserve equal opportunity and respect. He urged youth to join the IYC in large number and participate in the nation building process.
Mr. Purnchandra Paddia National Secretary, IYC also expressed his views on the occasion. Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, Pradesh Congress Committee shared his experience during his tenure as President, Pradesh Youth Congress and requested the youths to join the YC to strengthen the hands of Mr. Rahul Gandhi and the INC.
