Port Blair, July 27: The 3-day National Level IEEE Workshop on ‘Professional Computer Networking” was inaugurated on 27th July 2018 at 10.00 am in the Conference Hall of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Port Blair. The workshop was organized by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, DBRAIT in association with Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE), IEEE Computer Society of India & RUSA, GoI. Mr. P.S Reddy Secretary Education A & N Administration was the Chief Guest of the programme. While speaking on the occasion, Honorable Secretary Education urged the participants to have true hands on experience in the field of technology and organize more such workshops. Dr. Utpal Sharma, Principal DBRAIT welcomed the gathering and called upon the participants to make use of the workshop that keeps them abreast with the latest technology. Prof. Sujit K. Biswas, Chairman IEEE Kolkata Section and Prof. Ram P. Rustagi, from KSIT are the resource personnel’s who brings in more than 30 years of experience in the field of computer networks and cyber security. Altogether 62 candidates comprising Faculty members and students are participating in the workshop. The workshop sessions will include Lectures and hands-on-demonstrations on HTTP, TCP/IP and Web security features. Head of the Departments and Faculty members of various departments were also present on the occasion. The inaugural session concluded with vote of thanks, by Dr. Shrabani Mallick, Coordinator-IEEE Activities.
