Port Blair, July 25: To commemorate the Kargil War Heroes on the occasion of the 20th Kargil Vijay Diwas, a solemn function will be organized at the Kargil War Martyrs Memorial, in the premises of Tagore Govt. College of Education (TGCE) tomorrow (July 26). The Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Admiral DK Joshi PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) will lead the Islanders in paying tributes to the Kargil War Martyrs at 9.30 am at the Memorial, followed by other officers of the Administration, Defence Personnel and others. The function includes observing two minutes’ silence, guard of honor and laying of wreath at the War Martyrs Memorial.
All interested citizens of Port Blair have been requested to reach the programme venue by 9 am and pay tribute to Kargil War Heroes on this occasion.
