Port Blair, July 24: The Andaman & Nicobar State Cooperative Bank Ltd has been selected as the Best Performing Cooperative Bank (1st Prize) in the country by the National Federation of State Cooperative Banks (NAFSCOB) for the year 2016-17 under the “Overall Performance” category.
The prestigious Award was received by Shri. Bhagat Singh, Chairman of the bank along with Shri. K Murugan, Managing Director by the hands of Dr. Chandra Pal Singh, President, National Cooperative Union of India in a function organised by NAFSCOB on 20th July 2018 at Mumbai.
Shri Bhagat Singh, Chairman on his return appreciated the efforts of the employees of the bank and most importantly the customers and the Islanders for their support. He also dedicated this award to the Customers and Employees of the bank without whom it would never ever be possible for the bank for this great achievement. He wholeheartedly thanked all the general public and Islanders for their trust, support and cooperation.
