Port Blair, July 19: In Andaman, high waves in the range of 4.0 – 4.5 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 19-07-2018 to 23:30 hours of 21-07-2018 along the west coast of Andaman Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Coco Channel. Current speeds vary between 54 – 108 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed exceeding 45kmph and rough to very rough seas likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar coasts. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea on 19th & 20th July 2018.
In Nicobar region, high waves in the range of 4.0 – 4.5 meters are forecasted during 17:30 hours on 19-07-2018 to 23:30 hours of 21-07-2018 along the west coast of Nicobar Islands from Ten Degree Channel to Great Channel. Current speeds vary between 58 – 92 cm/sec. Under the influence of moderate to strong southwest monsoon current, strong southwesterly wind speed exceeding 45kmph and rough to very rough seas likely along and off Andaman & Nicobar coasts. Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea on 19th & 20th July 2018.
