Port Blair, July 15: In a welcome move, the FIFA football final match was shown on a big screen at Multipurpose hall at Diglipur tonight. Hundreds of spectators enjoyed the match. Alongwith general public, Asst Commissioner, DEO, DySP, Asst Engr APWD, Deputy Dir Sports were present at the venue to witness the final match. Administration at Diglipur alongwith Dir Sports, Education Dept, APWD & Drishya Studio made this arrangement possible. Now public are demanding more such programmes on big screen at Diglipur.
Meanwhile the public and PRI members have lauded the move of Diglipur authorities to show such event in big screen and making it possible for large number of football fans to witness the final match. However, this is sad to note that no officials at Port Blair even thought of making any such arrangements for footfall fans of Port Blair.
