VS Palli, Diglipur, July 03: Nearly 10 students sustained injuries when a private bus of ‘Sri Krishna’ today hit a School Trip Omni in North Andaman region. According to details the accident took place at Saitan Tikri, V S Palli village of Diglipur.
Sources said that the Omni was already carrying 10 students and was waiting for one more student at Saitan Tikri, when the private bus ‘Sri Krishna’, coming from Lamia Bay road hit the Omni, near a turning and overturned it.
Immediately the villagers reached the spot and made arrangement to rush the injured to nearest hospital.
One student was seriously injured and was referred to GB Pant Hospital while other students with minor and major injuries are being monitored. The PS Diglipur has registered a case against driver of the bus and also challaned the Omni as it was not having commercial permit.
