Port Blair, July 02: The All India Kisan Sabha, Andaman and Nicobar Island Unit organized a one day street corner meeting throughout Diglipur Tehsil area (Revenue village area) on 30th June 2018 and also staged a public meeting in Diglipur Subhas bazaar from 5:00 pm to 8:00pm the meeting presides by KISAN SABHA Vice President by com. Ramjiban Sarkar.
The speakers were Dr. Gouranga Majhi; Mr. Ramjiban Sarkar; Mr. Kali Pada Paul & Mr. Khagen Roy.
The speaker highlighted the major problem faced by farmers day to day whole year in actual form, such as Lack of fertilizers organic or Chemical from last 6 months; Farmer not getting M.S.P Price of their Agriculture Products; Farmer deprived by private crops insurance companies, so Kisan Sabha demanded Government agencies for crops insurance the speaker noted that in Andaman thousands of farmers encroached Government land years together. They should be allotted Land for cultivation and house site for landless farmer who occupied 30 years ago revenue of Forest Land; Share croppers and contractor farmer should be treated as farmer of these Islands and issued them Kisan Card for reorganization of the farmer.
The speaker stated that the condition of roads village or ATR are worse and unfit even for cycling.
