Port Blair, June 22: To check the cleanliness and sanitation under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan today Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, the Swachh Bharat Ambassador visited the Urban Health Centre Shadipur and interacted with the Out patients, staff of the centre in relation to maintain cleanliness at their locality UHC. Officer in Charge Dr. Mishri Lal accompanied him.
Later Mr. Lal, visited the main OPD of G B Pant Hospital Port Blair and checked the toilets of both Male and female, where he noted that a routine cleanliness time table has been placed and every half an hour out source cleaning staffs are cleaning the toilet blocks daily.
Mr. Lal also met with Matron of the Hospital and requested her to organise his meeting of sister in charge, heads of all the Wards of G B Pant Hospital Port Blair along with the outsourced cleaning heads and sanitary incharge of the hospital under the chairmanship of Director Health Services A & N Islands. She promised to organise the same, in the first week if July 2018.
