Port Blair, July 10: The teachers of Sarva Sikhsha Abhiyan teachers have been demanding for continuous engagement, relaxation of age and preference in appointment, since a long time but it seems that the Administration is taking these demands too lightly.
Though the second demand has been fulfilled by the Lt. Governor recently, the first demand was yet to be fulfilled.
But it seems that in 2011, the Education Department had submitted a false report to the Ministry of Human Resource Development in this regard.
In Education Department’s letter (ref no: 6-7/SSA/PG/2011-12/670) dated 15 November 2011 the State Project Director (SSA) had said that out of these three demands two demands viz Continuous Engagement of SSCTs & Age Relaxation to the SSCTs for applying regular posts under Education Department have already been considered by the Department and orders to this effect were issued.
However, the truth is known to everybody and the readers may judge whether this statement is true. Thus one wonders whether the Education Department had submitted false report to Ministry of HRD? But why?
