Port Blair, June 07: As many as five people have been arrested by PS Ograbraj for entering inside Jarawa Reserve Forest under PAT Regulation.
According to reports name of the accused are Ram Krishna Halder, Wandoor, Bijay Baroi, Wandoor, Pradeep Mondal, Wandoor, Manoranjan Biswas, New Wandoor and V. Yadav Rao, Junglighat, who were arrested after a lot of drama.
Sources said last month on 26 May, some people have reported that one fisherman, Mr. Bhagirat Singh, 52 years, is missing from Wandoor village, after he went out for fishing in fishing dinghy, with some friends. According to them Mr. Bhagirat Singh fell into sea accidently, due to bad weathers.
Later five people were identified, who had gone along with the missing person for fishing. In the meantime all these persons were unable to tell about the exact location, where they had gone for fishing.
Later body of the missing person was recovered after six days from Jarawa Reserve Forest, which confirmed the fact, that all fishermen had gone for fishing inside Jarawa Reserve Area and hence these five people were arrested.
According to Pradhan of Wandoor area, Mr. Ram Bala, the accused have already got bail now.
