Port Blair, Apr 10: JNRM organised a two days workshop on ‘How to crack UGC-NET’ for the students of M.A./M.Sc. on 9 -10th April 2018. The chief guest of the inaugural programme, Dr. Jayanta Mishra, Professor, Pondicherry University Brookshabad Campus congratulated the initiative of the college and mentioned that students of the Islands have the potential to pass the exam. He advised the students to cultivate the habit of reading newspaper regularly and be abreast with the latest happenings in the national & international spheres. Dr. Francis Xavier, Principal, JNRM mentioned that in the present cutting edge competitive world students should continuously endeavour towards updating themselves with latest information and knowledge. Earlier, the workshop was inaugurated by lighting of the traditional lamp by the guests and the resource persons. Welcoming the gathering, Dr. Anjani Kumar Shrivastava, Assistant Professor in Hindi, JNRM and coordinator of the workshop gave an overall perspective of the UGC-NET examination with the strategies to clear the exam.
The workshop covered all the topics included in the General Paper-I. The resource persons of the different sessions Dr. Anjani Kumar Shrivastava, Asst. Prof. in Hindi, Dr. K.Chanderdeep Singh, Asst. Prof. in Historical Studies, Dr. Santosh Kumar Jha, Asst. Prof. in Botany, Dr. Vivek Kumar Sahu, Asst. Prof. in Zoology, Dr. Dipon Sharmah, Asst. Prof. in Botany, Dr. Ashutosh Kumar, Asst. Prof. (contract) in Geography, & Mr. Venkatesh Kumar Singh, Asst. Prof. (contract) in Pol. Sc. illustrated their topics using techniques based on ICT. The workshop was attended by more than 80 aspirants from different disciplines and guest faculty members of the JNRM.
