Port Blair, Apr 03: The benefit of leave encashment, gratuity, and Transport Expenses granted to 765 employees of ANFPDCL was held up by the Cooperation.
Consequent upon the receipt of above information through the employees of corporation and also Mr. Joga Rao, Ex-Pramukh, Little Andaman and Mr. Babul Sarkar, Pradhan, Netaji Nagar, Little Andaman, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman has immediately taken up the matter with the Minister of Environment, Govt of India, New Delhi vide his letter dated 08-02-2018 seeking review of the earlier decision taken by the Ministry to settled down the issue by calculating their dues as on 31-11-2017 based on 2007 National Pay Scale as provided in clauses 3.2 (iii) of the VRS Scheme instead of the existing pay (IDA 1997) to which the employees are sustaining huge financial lose.
In pursuant to that, a high level meeting has been convened by the Ministry on 13-03-2018 and reviewed their earlier decision and the demand / suggestion offered by Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray has been accepted by the Ministry vide their letter dated 23-03-2018 and directed the corporation to release the dues of the employees of ANFPDCL based on 2007 National Pay Scale by fixing cutoff date for extending the monetary benefit as on 30-11-2017. In so far, the claim of traveling expenses is concerned, the Ministry has extended the time limits for submission of claim latest by 30-04-2018.
