Port Blair, Apr 02: The Anti-Corruption unit today arrested the Executive Engineer of NACD, APWD, Mayabunder while allegedly accepting a bribe of R s. 50,000. The accused was brought to Port Blair today by the Anti-Corruption team.
While the efforts of Anti-Corruption unit was praised by public but many residents of Mayabunder and Port Blair region expressed shock over this development as the said EE, NACD, APWD commands very high reputation and was known for honest working style, which infact had earned him many enemies in Billyground and Mayabunder region.
