Port Blair, Mar 29: The first Type-Test on Computer was held on 24th and 25th March 2018. Total 132 candidates appeared in the Type-Test and 64 candidates have qualified the Type-Test. The result of the first Type-Test has been uploaded on the website www.and.nic.in. Two physically handicapped candidates were exempted from Type- Test based on the medical certificate, as per the rules. Some candidates of Nicobar District could not attend the Type-Test due to cancellation of ship voyage and non-availability Hall tickets. A report is awaited from the District Administration and thereafter a decision will be taken to allow such candidates a compensatory attempt, if required.
The Candidates who could not qualify the first Type-Test or the Candidates who could take the first Type-Test may appear in the second Type-Test. The second Type-Test has been scheduled at the National Informatics Centre (NIC), Andaman State Unit, GPOA Complex, Ranchi Basthi, Port Blair on 21st April 2018 i.e. Saturday. The candidate will get either of the set for the Type-Test out of the 15 sets of Test Papers uploaded on the website www.and.nic.in. However the particular set will be decided through draw of lots, immediately prior to commencement of the Type -Test. The draw of lots will be conducted by the Observer in presence of the Centre Supervisor and candidates.
The fresh Admission Certificate/Hall Tickets for the Type-Test can be downloaded from the website www.and.nic.in from 10th April 2018 onward. Candidates are required to reach the Centre at least 30 minutes before the schedule time and bring a copy of Hall Ticket alongwith any original photo Identity Card like AADHAR Card, Driving Licence, Islander I-Card or Election I-Card etc.
