Port Blair, Mar 27: The Annual General Body meeting of Rangat Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held at Panchayat Samiti Hall Rangat on 25.03.2018. Mr. Sushan Mallick, Deputy Education Officer, Middle Andaman inaugurated the Annual General Body meeting. In his inaugural address Mr. Sushan Mallick said the Non Gazetted Officers’ Association is the pioneer service Association of the islands and activities of the Association is helping to ease the hardship of general public also. Mr. T.S. Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association briefed about anti employees policies of central Govt. and the need of more struggles to settle various genuine demands related to 7th CPC, NPS and regularisation contract and Daily rated employees. Mr. R.Rajendran, Assistant General Secretary briefed about the activities of the Association for the betterment of AC Cadre employees. Mr. R.Surendran Pillai, Assistant General Secretary gave the details of discussion held with Chief Secretary about on pending issues of teachers and other categories of emplyees.
The meeting expressed serious concern on undue delay and black marketing of LPG supply, disturbance of BSNL network in Middle Andaman area. Earlier Mr. S.Natarajan, Secretary of the Branch presented the working report and Mr. Akbar Ali, Treasurer present finance report. The meeting was presided by Mr. Santosh Kumar Roy and Mr. Suresh Kumar proposed vote of thanks.
The meeting elected Mr. Santosh Kumar Roy as Vice President, Mr. S. Natarajan as Secretary and Mr. Akbar Ali as Treasurer for the year 2018-19. A large number of employees of Rangat area attended the meeting.
