Diglipur, Mar 20: It appears that the Banking sector has totally collapsed in Diglipur since yesterday.
The SBI Diglipur is not functioning since yesterday afternoon, the reason said to be is link failure.
Today also there was no link. Due to this both the ATMs at bank were not working. Although the CDR is working sometimes but sometimes it failed to dispense the cash and sometimes it failed to accept the cash. In some cases the ATMs dispensed deduction slip but customers did not get cash from ATM.
Few weeks ago the Syndicate bank also put their shutter down for weeks due to network problem.
The ATM of the ANSCB also not functioning today while the AXIS bank ATM is said to be giving preference to its own bank customers.
Those people who were totally dependent upon digital transfers were badly affected. However it is still not clear whether the services will resume tomorrow.
While Modi Government is planning for Chandrayan II, here in Andaman and Nicobar Islands due to bad connectivity, people feels as if they still live in the age, when pigeons were used for communication. Situation is far worse in remote Islands when Cashless Transaction is only a dream and getting hard cash is a luxury.
