Port Blair, Mar 18: A 15 days’ Self-Defence training classes for Girls organized by the JNRM, NSS Unit No.1 begins today at JNRM Ground. In the inaugural function speaking to the students the Chief Guest Mr. Michael Raj, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Vice Principal PTS, Prothrapur spoke on the importance of keeping oneself physically fit and he said it’s very important for the students.
Dr. N. Francis Xavier Principal, JNRM, speaking on the occasion said that these Self-Defence training will be an additional strength for the girls and after completion of the training they will feel better and stronger.
The training camp will be conducted by Ms. Malathi Devi, A Head Constable and Martial Arts Trainer from PTS, Prothrapur. Earlier Dr. Kandimuthu the Programme Officer of NSS Unit No.1 in his welcome address spoke on the NSS Activities and the importance of Physical Training for the volunteers in NSS. The NSS volunteer Ms. Gracy Tripathy coordinated the inaugural Programme of the 15 Days training Camp.
