Port Blair, Mar 18: The Annual General Body meeting of the JNRM Sub-Committee of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held at Port Blair today (17.03.2018). Mr. S N Mishra,President(In charge) of the Association, while inaugurating the general body, cautioned the employees about the ongoing large scale privatisation in higher education and asked them to wage united struggle for the strengthening of public education. The General Secretary of the Association, Mr. T.S.Sreekumar explained about the ongoing struggles of the central government employees for the settlement of various anomalies arisen after the implementation of the 7th CPC and recent initiatives by the Association to resolve issues in award of MACP, Promotion,etc of employees under A & N administration.
The meeting expressed serious concern on undue delay in settlement of various genuine demands of JNRM staff. The meeting unanimously decided to serve an agitation notice on issues like regularisation of TSMs, granting of MACP and confirmation, promotion channel to group C employees, etc.The meeting resolved to organise strong agitations, in a phased manner, till the fulfilment of demands.
Earlier, Mr. Ajoy Kumar Chakraborty, Secretary of the Sub-Committee presented the working report for previous year while Mr. U.Shiv Kumar presided over the meeting. The meeting also elected Mr. U.Shiv Kumar as Vice President, Mr. Ajoy Kumar Chakraborty as Secretary and Mr. N Venkat Rao as Treasurer for the year 2018-19. Mr. R Surendran Pillai, Mr. R Rajendran,Mr. Sasikumar,etc also spoke on the occation.The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Mr. E A Johnson.
