Port Blair, Mar 18: Today at around 11.30 hrs two grassroot BJP leaders namely Ajay Bairagi, State General Secretary BJP and Shyamal Bhowmick, Pradhan R.K Gram reached Middle Strait.
After reaching Middle Strait these public leaders reportedly took their vehicle upto the vehicle ferry for boarding directly, without maintaining the queue, which is followed by general public.
While they were about to board the vehicle ferry they were informed by the police staffs to maintain queue because there were trucks standing in the queue from morning 07.30 hrs.
When asked to maintain queue these public leaders started heated argument with the truck driver, who was about to take the truck inside the vehicle ferry.
These leaders also reportedly had argument with police personnel posted at the Middle Strait Jetty and demanded to maintain separate queue for PRI members.
Eyewitnesses present at the Jetty told Andaman Sheekha that such irresponsible behaviour of the PRI members, who are public figures, is unbearable and also puts a shame on a reputed party like BJP, which is in power.
