Port Blair, Mar 16: Jagriti Sangh Youth Club, Laxmipur organized Block Level Volleyball Knockout Tournament and Passing the ball under the programme of Block Level Inter Youth Club Sports Meet in coordination with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Diglipur at School Ground, Laxmipur from 13.03.2017 to 15.03.2018 in which 07 teams from different Youth Clubs of Diglipur zone were participated. Opening match was played between Laxmipur-B V/s Diglipur Striker, Diglipur on 13th March, 2018. Shri Haren Roy, Ex-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Laxmipur was present as chief guest and inaugurated the opening match.
The final match was played between Jagriti Sangh Youth Club, Laxmipur V/s Diglipur Striker, Diglipur. Diglipur Striker, Diglipur defeated Jagriti Sangh Youth Club, Laxmipur by 2-0 set. Shri Haren Roy, Ex-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Laxmipur was also present as chief guest in final match played on 15.03.2018 and briefed about the benefit of sports.
Prizes were awarded to the winner and runner teams of volleyball tournament and the 1st, 2nd & 3rd position winner of passing the ball by Shri Haren Roy, Ex-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Laxmipur.
Shri Tapan Biswas, Secretary, Jagriti Sangh Youth Club, Laxmipur welcomed the respectable persons and all the participated teams and delivered a speech about the important of sport for youths. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Shri Susanta Das, President,Jagriti Sangh Youth Club, Laxmipur.
