Port Blair, Mar 08: There were huge demands for considering past service of the 495 Mazdoors of Electricity Department for retirement & pensionary benefits in compliance to order of the Hon’ble High Court dated 09.04.2013.
Now, the Ministry vide their communication dated 13.10.2017 has conveyed approval for implementation of the order of the Hon’ble High Court dated 09.04.2013. The communication of the Ministry was with certain error, resulted in which delay in implementation of the order.
On account of delay in implementation of the Ministry’s direction, a large number of workers of electricity department were interacted the M.P and requested him to take initiative with the Ministry of Power to sort out the error.
In pursuant to that Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, M.P.Andaman vide his letter dated 12.02.2018 has once again presented the observation of the Administration to the Power Ministry and accordingly, the Ministry vide letter No.34/2/2005-R&R(Vol-III) dated 06.03.2018 has conveyed the clarifications as sought for by the Administration. The clarification received from the Ministry has been accordingly forwarded to the Administration vide letter dated 07.03.2018 for compliance.
Upon receipt of the clarification, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, M.P has expressed his gratitude to Mr. R.K.Singh, the Minister of Power, GOI for taking a prompt action to convey the clarification in the interest of the 495 Mazdoors of Electricity Department.
