Port Blair, Mar 06: The Aam Aadmi Party has demanded for shifting of all wild elephants from the Nischintapur & Narayan Tikri areas of Diglipur region before any major wildlife crisis.
The State Convenor, Aam Aadmi Party, A & N Islands, Mr. Sanjay Meshack has claimed that one wild elephant is regularly coming to inhabited areas of Nischintapur & Narayan Tikri villages and damaging crops, fence and houses.
He said that though in day time police and forest guard protection is given for villagers but there is no protection for villagers at night hours. He demanded immediate shifting of all wild elephants from the area.
