Port Blair, July 04: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration is going to take up the salary issue of part-time lecturers, working in local colleges with authorities in New Delhi.
Previously in several occasions Andaman Sheekha had reported about this issue of lecturers that they get lesser salary than the teachers of Sarva Siksha Abhyan, even after clear cut direction issued by the UGC about salary hike.
Taking up this issue the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Higher Education) Mr. Bhupinder Singh Bhalla is going to send an Assistant Secretary ranked officer to New Delhi.
“I have personally asked the Assistant Secretary to go to New Delhi and follow the issue,” Mr. Bhalla told Andaman Sheekha. Hopefully soon some good news will come from the side of Administration in this issue.
