Diglipur, Feb 23: Bengal Association of Andaman & Nicobar Islands (BAANI) on 21 Feb celebrated Bango maha Sammelan (Matri Bhasa Diwas) at Zilla Parishad hall, RK Gram, Diglipur.
Joydeep Mukherjee, Adv Supreme Court, was the Chief Guest on this occasion. The programme was started by invocation of Lamp with chanting deep mantra. After that Students of Saraswati Sishu Mandir presented Bande Mataram song. The Students of Mondal Public School presented Rabindra Sangeet and a Dance programme.
Dr.Ram Kanta Halder, President Central Committee BAANI, Mr. Sarat Chandra Bepari President BAANI Diglipur,Mr. Bikash Mandal Executive Member BAANI , Mr. Naresh Halder Secretary BAANI Diglipur addressed the public on this occasion.
Earlier Mr. Sarat Chandra Bepari welcomed the guests. Shalws were distributed the public and Lunch was arranged for the attendees.
