Aerial Bay, Feb 21 : A Symposium on Man Animal Conflict with Special reference to Crocodile and Elephant was organized by the Forest Department at Aerial Bay Diglipur today.
Mr. LJM Lobo Range Officer welcomed the Guests and General public on this occasion, A Power Point Presentations of ‘Croc Vs Man’ was presented by Forest Officers Cherian Thomas and ‘Elephant Conflict with Forest’ was presented by Priyesh Kumar Pandey.
During this Characteristics of conflict literature, Geographical distribution of human–wildlife conflict (HWC), Wildlife species involved in HWC, its Causes, Outcomes of conflict, Conflict resolution or management, Management techniques and its solution were discussed.
During this Symposium ‘Green On Wheel’ a Cyclist Mr. Ujjal Pal who travelled 12 Countries by pedaling 35000 Km reached Diglipur by pedaling from Port Blair presented a paper to create awareness on the importance of tree on earth. He has embarked on a worldwide solo campaign on Cycle for evoking consciousness among masses about the Conservation of Nature and increasing the Green cover of Earth.
