Diglipur, Feb 21: Petrol supply from ANIIDCO petrol pump was affected since yesterday 4 PM at Diglipur.
ANIIDCO petrol pump is the lone pump in Diglipur to supply Petrol and Diesel. It has two Diesel and two Petrol pumps installed in the filling station. But one Petrol pump and its connection to underground tank is not operative since its installation and another Petrol pump’s Motor got damaged yesterday evening at 4 PM. Since then petrol is not available in entire Diglipur region.
Later, a local motor mechanic and a mechanic from Port Blair rectified the fault and the pump was opened for the public since 2 PM today.
Meanwhile two tankers from Port Blair on the way to Diglipur are getting delayed due to convoy problems.
They are expected to reach later tonight. The manager of the filling station has assured of normalization of the pump by tomorrow morning.
