Port Blair, Feb 16: As DCPU (SA) conducts awareness programmes on various child related Acts & laws, especially on Juvenile Justice Act 2015 & POCSO Act 2012 at different Gram Panchayats, Schools and at Child Care Institutions. As part of their routine awareness programme on 16th Feb. 2018 the unit have conducted an Awareness programme at Govt. Secondary School Delanipur. Smti. T. Dharmila DCPO (SA) had spoken on structure & function of DCPU, where as Adv. Suparna Biswas, Legal-cum-Probation Officer of the unit had explained about the Juvenile Justice Act in details to the students.
The programme was followed by a speech competition on the topic ‘Child Friendly School’ for the students and prizes were distributed to all the participants accordingly. Vote of thanks was proposed by Smti. Chaya Samanta Principal-Incharge of the school, a communication said here.
