Port Blair, Feb 09: Two accidents have been reported from Port Blair City today and the reasons behind these accidents is said to be brake failure of the vehicles.
As per reports, a bus namely Priya Travels that was heading uphill towards Bengali Club suddenly suffered brake failure following which the bus came back in reverse direction and stopped after hitting road side retaining wall and an electric pole.
Fortunately, no vehicle was behind the Bus, otherwise this accident would have taken a major shape.
Similarly, a private car that was going uphill from Velodrome area to Raj Niwas area suffered sudden brake failure following which the car came in reverse and rolled down on its right. In this accident also no vehicle or person was there behind the car. There is no report of any injuries in these cases.
