Port Blair, Feb 08: The Port Blair Municipal Council today claimed that it has already registered an FIR against the fake callers who are calling PBMC LGC exam candidates for bribe.
But sadly, making mockery of entire system, even this morning these calls were received by candidates and the Andaman & Nicobar Police is seems to be struggling to put these fake callers behind the bars.
Making further mockery of the Administration, the callers are openly disclosing the phone numbers and bank account numbers, where they are asking candidates to deposit money for getting qualifying
marks.
Although several candidates have reported about such calls to media and PBMC, many might have already fallen in the trap.
However, talking to Andaman Sheekha, the Secretary PBMC, Mr Yashpal Garg today maintained that the exams were conducted by the Department as well as by the Andaman Administration in a complete transparent manner.
Andaman Sheekha has received complaints again from various candidates that they have received calls even today morning, where a guy from Delhi is calling them by name and also mentioning their Roll Numbers and asking for a bribe and assuring them that if they pay the bribe their names will be in the list of selected LGC candidates of PBMC.
“We demand the Andaman Nicobar Police to immediately trace the people calling for bribe and also reach the kingpin behind this development. Till then the PBMC LGC typing test must be put on hold,” said a candidate on the condition of anonymity.
Talking to Andaman Sheekha the PBMC Secretary however advised the candidates that if even now they receive such calls they should also report this matter to police.
